It costs around £200 to train and provide uniform for each Street Pastor. We ask that volunteers help to cover this cost if at all possible, whether by themselves or in some cases by assistance from their church.

After training our initial group of  Street Pastors it has become clear that it is impractical and very expensive to train very small groups of newcomers, but unfair to make people wait too long for a large group of volunteers.

To make training small groups possible, we have been pleased to join with larger groups from the region for a joint training scheme which enables us to get new Street Pastors out on the streets very quickly. If you are interested in joining us, please be aware that the training will take up 3 or 4 whole weekends and involve a fair amount of travelling. This page will be updated with the next regional training dates whenever they are available.

While you are waiting for training to start, you will need to fill in an application form, have an interview, and come out with one or two of our patrols as an observer to make sure you feel able to join us.

The next regional training will start in March 2020 and will cover three weekends in March and April.
